JUNGLE TRACKING ORANG UTAN BUKIT LAWANG



Trek though the jungles of Sumatra to see many of the wonderful flora and fauna that lives here. You have the chance to see Orang-utans, 
Gibbons, 
Monkeys, 
Sun Bears, 
Hornbills and maybe even a Sumatran Tiger 
if you’re lucky.

All prices include meals, tents, guide fee and jungle permit.

 

Option 1 
3 HOURS JUNGLE TREKKING 

Includes: Fresh fruit, guide fee, jungle permit and rafting 

 

Option 2 
ONE DAY JUNGLE TREKKING 


Itinerary:

Trek starts after breakfast between 8 to 9 a.m. 
Walk around 5 – 6 hours into the jungle looking for orangutans, discovering medicinal plants and learning about their use. Around noon there is a short break for lunch in the jungle, with the rest of the trek continuing after lunch. You can choose either to walk back to Bukit Lawang or to travel back by tube-rafting down the river

Price includes: 
licensed guide, permits to enter the national park, lunch, fruit and water during trekking, and tube rafting back to Bukit Lawang.

 

Option 3 
2 DAYS JUNGLE TREKKING


Itinerary:

Day One – Start trek around 8-9 a.m. 
(after breakfast). 
Walk around 6-7 hours into the jungle looking for orangutans, discovering medicinal plants and “jungle-food” learning about their use. 
Relax at the camp and take shower in a small stream. Preparation of dinner.

Day Two – Start trek after breakfast around 9 a.m.. Walk around 4-5 hours into the jungle looking for orangutans and other animals The rest of the trek continues after lunch. You can choose either to walk back to Bukit Lawang or travel back by tube-rafting down the river

permits to enter the national park, food and water during trekking, tent, sleeping mat, sleeping bag/sheet, tube rafting.

What you need to bring: Good walking-boots or shoes, sports-sandals or flip-flops for walking in the river, sheet or lightweight sleeping bag, insect repellent, light trousers and long-sleeved tops (an extra set of clean and dry clothes for the night), flashlight.

 

Option 4 
3 DAY TREKKING 

Itinerary:

Day One – Start trek around 8-9 a.m. (after breakfast). Walk around 6-7 hours into the jungle looking for orangutans and other animals, discovering medicinal plants and learning about their use. Around noon there is a lunch break, before trek continues through to the camp site. Take a rest at the camp, get a hot drink and take a refreshing shower in the small stream. Preparation of dinner.

Day Two – After breakfast, get ready for trek. Walk around 5-6 hours, move to another camp site, while enjoying wildlife, discovering “jungle-food” and learning about their use. Get lunch in the jungle, before continuing trek to the camp near the river. Relax at camp and swim in clean jungle river. Preparation of dinner.

Day Three – The following morning visitors can choose between a short trek into to the jungle, or just relaxing at the campsite. After lunch travel back to Bukit Lawang. You can choose either to walk back to Bukit Lawang or go back by tube-rafting down the river

Day four – Start trek after breakfast around 9 a.m., walk around 4-5 hours into the jungle looking for orangutans and other animals, after lunch the rest of the trek continues. You can choose to either walk back to Bukit Lawang or travel back by tube-rafting down the river
